Using BookBildr for Education
- How do I format my book correctly?
Here are some tips that will help you create a beautiful book that will look great when professionally printed.
- The first page of the book project is the front cover.
- The last page of the book project is printed on the back cover.
- Keep all text inside the margin lines.
- To order a hardcover, your book project needs to have at least 26 pages.
- Landscape books can only be bound as spiral-bound or hardcovers. Saddle-stitch binding is not available.
- Use the Spread View mode by zooming out to 50% to view your book in spreads before ordering.
- Can I paste text from programs like Microsoft Word or Mac Page?
Yes, you can but we don’t recommend it because Word and similar programs add hidden formatting that can “break” your book. For the best result, paste your text from a simple text editor like Notepad and press Ctrl+Shift+V (Cmd+Shift+V on a Mac) when pasting. Then, format the text in BookBildr and make sure you have added all the fonts you want to use in the book. More information can be found here .
- Can I write a book in my language?
Yes, absolutely! BookBildr uses Google Fonts, which means that there’s a font for practically any language. To find the right font for your language, go to https://fonts.google.com and use the “Languages” dropdown menu to find compatible fonts. You can then select the compatible font you like in the BookBildr Editor.
Troubleshooting
- Some of the images I uploaded are gone. Why is that?
To make BookBildr fast and efficient for all users, we automatically delete unused uploaded images that are older than 7 days. Don’t worry, we don’t delete any pictures you use in a book, plus you can always upload the missing images again if you need them for your project.
- My book project didn’t save properly and some content is missing. What to do?
Please contact us immediately and refrain from working on your book until you hear from us. We’ll attempt to restore the latest backup of your project.
- I can’t save my book project. What to do?
Most likely, your username has a space in it. Please refrain from working on your book project, contact us and let us fix your username. Once the space is removed, saving and downloading will work.

- Who will own the copyright for my book?
The copyright is yours and BookBildr doesn’t retain any rights to user-made content. All the illustrations we offer are public domain, so you don’t have to worry about that either.
